Even if what he says is true -grandstanding about age as if it gives his words gravitas is not an argument that holds water. It simply highlights how little he has learned in his 80 years about accepting we all have faults, accepting them and moving the fuck on.

Jelly Brian Cox was always a borderline hack character actor and trashing DDL just underscores that fact.
He didn’t say anything bad about Lewis. He said his costar, Strong, took inspiration from Lewis and was disruptive with his method acting.
He added that Lewis never disrupted the process with his method acting. In fact, it’s a compliment to Lewis and a diss to Strong.
The only thing he said about Robbie was that she was too beautiful for that role. He said he knew the book, so maybe he’s on to something, but it certainly isn’t a diss either.
