I kind of hate Franzen but I’m not surprised this is being adapted, it’s a perfect fit for the big-budget star-studded dysfunctional family type show. Maybe it’ll be better in someone else’s hands.
I remember liking this book. I think this will be a good project for her

You can tell the industry is struggling because actors who used to almost only do theatrical releases like Streep and Kidman now do TV shows.
The premise sounds so preachy. Can’t wait to see the casting.
So it’s like August: Osage County meeting Father Mother Sister Brother. Perhaps, it would be a good movie elevated by its star cast? Will it work as a TV series? I don’t know. Sounds as funny as a visit to a dentist, like you want to kill yourself a bit just thinking about it.
