The World According to Garp is such an underrated movie. RIP.
I grew up watching My Boyfriends Back which she was great in.
Stupid Variety, Interiors was 1978, not 1998.
Interiors is a great movie, so serious and stark, but really filled with great performances. Mary Beth Hurt was so good as Joey, the sister who was left behind. She didn’t have the beauty of her sister Flynn, or the creativty of her sister Renata. She had the desire to create but not the talent.
She was so good in Garp as well. I really loved that movie,
Another movie of hers from my childhood was D.A.R.Y.L.
rest in peace to a talented actress, her role in Garp was unforgettable. always sad to lose someone who contributed so much to film.
