  1. Shane Black doing this sounds like a very good fit. If it lands, this could be a lot of fun.

  2. I remember reading that at one point in the 80s, William Friedkin was trying to adapt and direct this, and it would’ve starred Sylvester Stallone.

Let’s see if Black still has it in him. *The Predator* and *Play Dirty* were very disappointing.

  3. You know what would really make it different. If this “executioner” wore an all black suit and had a big white skull on his shirt.

  4. So no Doc Savage. Just a well. Let the Rock Agebout of the role, rather than ruin it.

I hope they let Black do his thing. I feel like Play Dirty was just OK, but it was absolutely hung up by the lead, who has all the charisma of JD Vance’s underwear.

What I really want is a Nice Guys sequel anyway…

That’s crazy, I literally read the first book today. Really good so far… just wish it wasn’t 10$ per book. Thirty something books, each pretty short… yeah imma have to see if my library has them

  7. Shane Black needs to focus on writing original material. Few do that well, and every time he deals with an adaptation or IP, it’s subpar work.
