Can we stop publishing Tarantinos hot takes? They’re always* bad. I’d assume he’s rage baiting but I don’t think he’s socially aware enough.

    2. I enjoy his films, but this goofy mfer needs to shut it. He’s getting more autistically annoying with age.

    3. I never really liked his stuff. Thought he was really over-rated. Doesn’t help that he comes off as a mean asshole.

Wtf was that cryptic Tarantino-esque Super Bowl ad? Sure looked like a teaser trailer for a Netflix series. I got all excited and never heard or read a thing about it afterwards.

Quentin Tarantino gets a lot of credit for his groundbreaking films that is immediately used up by the dumb shit that comes out of his mouth.

    6. He’s getting old an opinionated. Which happens. But people keep interviewing him thinking its 2002 and he’s going to drop some obscure film knowledge instead of grumpy old man stuff.

And Yeah I’d disagree. 21st century has belonged to tv more than movies imo. Mostly HBO. Even setting aside all of the super hero & comic book genre, feels like they keep making the same movies with the same people doing slightly different variations of the same thing.

Tarantino movies often reference old TV shows he watched growing up, which only further makes this feel old manny.

    8. I’m so surprised that the overrated film director that thinks his personal taste is vastly superior to anyone else out there thinks this.

Perhaps he can continue to sexually fetishize feet and goad women into doing scenes focused on them some more, and for whatever reason people can find that ok.

Quentin Tarantino is an idiot that writes parts for himself to say the N word. Who gives a shit what he thinks.

10-50 hour story, if not more, is more difficult to remember than 2 hour story. How surprising!

From the guy who’s written about cool TV shows as if they’re crack and easy ways to relate to people.FFS

    12. Tarantino is a moron.

over the past two-three decades, TV has had a far greater effect on the public zeitgeist than movies have, which is truly the mark for what could be considered “forgettable” or not.

Seinfeld, Friends, Big Bang, HIMYM, Sopranos, Breaking Bad, GOT, Lost, Walking Dead, The Office, Modern Family, Always Sunny, 24, Homeland, Ozark, True Detective, White Lotus, Mad Men, i mean i could go on and on and on.

You would be hard-pressed to find someone in the western world who hasn’t been affected at least one way or another from one of these shows.

    13. I dunno I personally will never forget the battle of black water or the red wedding

Ive seen some movies in theaters logged them in my letterbox and forgot about them a few months later

When he worked at a video store he was the edgelord who gave a disapproving smirk at whatever you were getting

      there goes quentin projecting again

no quentin, just because you think it doesn’t make it true and also doesn’t mean the whole world thinks like you

He’s directed television; ER, CSI and acted in Alias. Kind of weird to be this dismissive.

    18. Lookout, people are gonna overreact over another opinion Tarantino has. Remember folks, Tarantino isn’t allowed to have an opinion on anything.

    19. UserNameNotSure on

As someone who likes most of QT’s opinions, people gotta quit taking them so seriously. It’s not gospel truth just because he’s a film legend. Entertainment media acts like he’s the Federal Reserve of Opinions or something.

    20. This is strange for me to hear because my assumption is that celebrities are all brilliant geniuses like me and therefore agree with me on everything and thus also all agree with each other

Not sure how to reconcile this.

    21. …And just cast Chalamet in Timmy Toe Awesome – a film about a toe sucking sleazebag who takes up ballet after failing at opera.

    22. I heard Quentin bat around the idea of doing a TV show as a work around to his “10 movie rule” he set for himself. I wonder if he has run into road blocks and this is his way of protecting his ego.

    23. Finbarr-Galedeep on

Speaking of forgettable – all of Tarantino’s work can be neatly summed up using the term “style-over-substance”.

    24. I don’t understand why everyone gets so mad at this guy for having an opinion. Make sure, I certainly don’t agree. But everybody’s an individual who the fuck cares what he thinks. People ask him because he’s famous. Thats all. The dude just doesn’t care enough to edit his opinion into something that won’t piss people off.
