    Hoppers hits $363k in pre-sales for Friday. Right bang in the middle of the $350-370k range i had.

    For final pre-sales as close to $800k as possible would again be outstanding.

    Maoyan and Taopiao are projecting a $2.6M-2.8M opening day on Friday into a $11-13M opening weekend. Safe to say that that would be an incredible opening.

      A 13m OW for Hoppers would be stellar. That would completely surpass Inside Out (2015)’s entire China gross of 15m in at least a week. With the same legs as Inside Out 2 (x4.7), we could see 60m! And considering this is an original and not a sequel, legs could be better. But I’m doubtful it has legs as good as Inside Out 2

      GOAT doesn’t seem to be doing well in China; I don’t understand why.

      On the other hand, Wuthering Heights had a small opening but apparently it was well-received and is having a decent run.

      Nice for Hoppers for its Chinese tracking since I think it’ll do around Inside Out 2 and Soul Chinese total around $45M-$55M

      If Box Office Mojo has their data in order, then this opening is in line with:

      How to Train Your Dragon (2025) $11.1M opening, $39.7M final

      Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022) – $11.5M opening, $34.7M final

      And better opening than:

      Elemental (2023) – $5.2M opening, $15.9M final

      The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023) – $6.3M opening, $24.9M total

      The Bad Guys 2 (2025) – $6.6M opening, $31.7M final
