  1. This is going to be fucking awesome. I can see a world where this is another Wicked For Good because the source material is simply not as accessible as Dune Part 2. But I also trust Villeneuve to deliver.

Dunesday will probably lead to this breaking a record of the highest percentage of opening weekend ticket sales from IMAX. (Because most standard and PLF screens will go to Doomsday)

Finally a reason to bring my Sand Worm popcorn bucket to the movie theatres and not look like a total creep!

  4. Block-Busted on

Well, it surprisingly looks a lot more action-packed than I expected.

Also, I need to ask one question – why does it have “Filmed for IMAX” label instead of “Shot with IMAX Film Cameras”?

It looks like another Barbenheiner event with Dune Part There and Avengers Doomsday during the holiday season which I’m planning to see Dune Part Three in IMAX and Avengers Doomsday in Dolby

Dune 3: “Hey, may the best movie win.”

    Avengers: Doomsday: “I plan to.”

Doesn’t look as sinister as the poster or the source material would make you think but still a good trailer.

Looks like my theory that Chani was pregnant during Dune 2 and that the kids would be 10-ish after the time skip was true. Good change imo.

It’s funny that they decided to keep the book’s ending a secret. How will people react when the guy who’s been the subject of all those epic edits online turns out to be “Space Hitler”?

The trailer for Dune 3 is awesome and it could hit 1 billion dollar. I think Dunesday weekend will be biggest weekend since Avengers Endgame weekend and could also challenge it. This December is going to be fucking big.

  10. Will do well but less the Dune 2. People who clam everyone will flock to this because Marvel
Is dead/dying are setting themselves up for disappointment.

$800M worldwide. I know it releases the same day as Avengers: Doomsday, but I think a increase from Part Two will happen.

    ABSOLUTE CINEMA.

If they stick the landing, this will go down as an all-time trilogy. Much more action-packed then the previous two movies and books of course.

  13. I’ll start by saying this is just a personal opinion, so it’s better to clarify, but I don’t know. It seems like a perfect summary of the Dune trilogy: aesthetically majestic (though I have to say this trailer didn’t impress me at all, unlike the old films) but devoid of emotion.

Speaking of results, I think it will have the lowest scores of the saga. I don’t know how Paul’s development will be received, as he’s already been misunderstood.
