the ornithopters somehow sound mechanical and biblical at the same time which is basically the whole dune vibe
The fact that they literally just combined a cat purring with beetle wings and a flapping tent strap to make a futuristic sci-fi vehicle sound so menacing is absolute peak cinema dude. sound designers are actual wizards tbh.
imagine telling someone that the most intimidating sci-fi aircraft in modern cinema is entirely powered by a vibrating bug and a sleepy house cat lmao. they really won a whole oscar just for recording a feline taking a nap ngl.
