Different tack…does anyone besides me feel bad when actresses have to say things like “You want me to suck your cock?” It might be accurate for what the Mason girls were like, but I feel embarrassed for the actresses.

People who are into feet are a teeny tiny bit under everyone else in the: people who I respect -category.

As much as I didn’t like this film , I actually thought it had more realistic dialog than anything he released, especially this scene.

  4. Just rewatched this last night. Qualley is great. The whole Spahn Ranch sequence is well done. What life might have been like there during those couple years. I also like the mix of Tate watching her movie at the very same moment, along with Dalton doing his best acting.

Wild. This scene was literally on my tv a half hour ago. I didn’t even pick the channel, I just turned it on for background noise.

  6. I remember watching this movie at home, all the movie is super serious until the last scene with the fire and it took me that off guard that I burst laughing at 2AM

Because that scene the movie turned it from “okey” to “fucking genius” for me

This movie was shot on actual film. I wonder how many feet of film this scene took.

That “oho nooo” chuckle sells it completely. Like ‘she’s clearly unstable/crazy, but I’m gonna see where this goes.’ Fantastic scene all around

  9. I personally loved this movie 🙂 Margaret qualley is such a bombshell. And Brad Pitt is my favorite actor

  10. the look Brad Pitt gives after she asks if he wants her to *”suck your cock while driving”* is so damn genuine lol

  11. I feel like this is some sort of like “social horror” or something cuz you’re kinda just super anxious Cliff is gonna do something to really make you hate his character after like an hour of charisma but he ultimately doesn’t even really consider it

  13. Tarantino’s foot fetish is well known to the point of being a hack joke at this point. I will say the the foot and shoe stuff in this movie is SO front and center that it really annoyed me. Like this whole project is transparently for his own gratification. (Plus, whatever the opposite of a foot fetish is, I have it. Foot revulsion?)

  14. More attention needs to be paid to how he used music in this film.

Uncommon for him, everything’s diegetic, from the world of the film, usually playing off a car radio but can be coming from anywhere.

The previous encounter Cliff has with Pussycat is scored by a perfume commercial and it’s brilliant.

  15. When Maya Hawke was on Amy Poehler’s podcast Amy asked Maya what advice her mother gave her about working with Quentin. Without skipping a beat . . . “Keep your shoes on.”

“Okay now get your feet on the dashboard, it sets up the… vibe” ~ Tarantino.

There’s something Tarantino familiar about this scene I just can’t put my toe on it?

Holy crap, they drove past a sign I designed for a church in Hollywood. My artwork is in a Tarantino movie. Unreal.

Sadly the sign stopped working several years ago and it doesn’t light up anymore.
