I actually wonder why. It’s an amazing movie and deserves it but the marketing was flat bad imo. People here thought the same, I remember most wrote it off for Elio numbers. Fuck man, I was saying single digits were possible just because I thought the marketing was that bad.

Pretty similar numbers to Horton Hears a Who which had a 13.3M Friday, 18.7M Saturday and a 12.9M Sunday for a 45M opening weekend.
