WOW, that‘s really good for an original animated film post-COVID…, 38M-42M domestic opening likely.
I‘m glad Pixar is doing better again. Positive audience reception should help it even more in the long run.

saw it last night. packed auditorium, everyone was reacting insanely well and having a great time — laughing out loud, gasping at the wild swings it took, even a few sniffles here and there. it’s gonna have a good run

I’m going to catch this on a midweek matinee a few weeks down the road. As a single adult male, I am usually loath to go by myself to a children’s movie, can send a suspicious message.

Cute animals win yet again.

That’s disappointing considering the pace of sales but still good. I don’t think there’s a ton to read into yet though since a kids movie obviously won’t have as big of Thursdays. Today and tomorrow will tell us how big this will go.

We Bare Bears was a big comfort show for me growing up, so very happy to see this on the path to doing very well.

3.2 million Thursday previews with 1 million Saturday EA totalling of 4.2 million through Thursday. Could go as high as 15 million dollar for Friday and mid 50s OW.

Got my tickets. If we want Disney Animation and Pixar to keep making original content, it’s important to support it when they do.
I hope Disney and Pixar learn the right lessons if this breaks out. Knowing them, though, they’ll just announce they’re making Hoppers 2.
