To be completely fair here Landis hasn’t been hired, he’s writing a competing script but the point still stands

The answer is they’re just taking a page from Ben Shapiro’s playbook. Try to appeal to right wingers by hiring people who were “cancelled”. Idk if that’s gonna last when the pendulum swings back left though.

Edit: Wrong about Landis not being fully hired. Stand by the second point though.

If that new Bayformers movie happens, they’re definitely gonna ask Shia to come back.

  4. Somewhere, Kevin Spacey and Bryan Singer jump in joy. They haven’t had this much hope in years to finally return to Hollywood.

  5. The real reason is probably to save on costs. Cancelled people generally don’t get anywhere near the work their peers do, so they’d be willing to ask for much less compared to said peers.

  6. The same Paramount that has a blacklist of actors who are pro-Palestine.
It’s not a case of ending “cancel culture”, it’s making sure that powerful man can still get away with sexual assault.

  7. They’re all willing to work for peanuts in an effort to reclaim their former glory. Paramount views it as a cost-cutting measure that conveniently aids their political and social manufacturing goals as well

I’m pretty sure the answer is “they’ll work for a lot less.”
