All of the ‘HOPPERS’ Early Screening has been shown (at least in the domestic market) and the reaction been very positive so far. Right now, it’s at a 3.8 in letterboxd & 98% with the Rotten Tomatoes Verified Audiences score
Factoring in WOM getting into a strong start, could Hoppers beat the odds and become the biggest domestic opening for an original animated film in almost a decade since ‘COCO’ in 2017?

My screening looked 75% full and the audience seemed to be into it. I can see it being a success and close to Elemental’s gross.
I thought the movie was good but I need to see it again to process it more as I’m on cold medicine. Good enough to go out, not good enough to avoid cold medicine
The opening will be great but it’s all about the legs too for this kind of film. And with positive WOM that will go a long way with spring breaks across the country.
It’s going to do what Elio couldn’t.
It was great. A return to form for Pixar. I think it’ll do what Onward and Turning Red could’ve done in March.
Compared to Goat, studios don’t actually include early access numbers and neither SpongeBob movie 4 as well although Elio, Transformers One, Wish, Trolls Band Together did actually reported numbers from the early access screenings before its Thursday previews for its opening day
So Disney might actually reported those numbers for Thursday previews numbers along with Saturday early access on it debuts on its opening weekend
I have a baseline expectation of $40m OW now. I think it will catch on, a lot more than Elio did.
80% crowd, was really into it. Great, adorable charming film. The pond crew, especially loaf and tom the lizard will propel this to success. Expect fantastic WOM
After this coming from an early screening, this has a potential to hurt scream seven run a bit, not a blockbuster in any sense but more than enough of a good time to bring in more of a family audience in
