EmpireCityBO: Based on presales, early reactions and upcoming spring breaks, #Hoppers can open to $40m+ and have a fantastic second week hold for @Pixar @Disney. Unfortunately things look not great for @thebridefilm but look surprisingly great for @ThePeakyBlinder in limited release.

Pixar Originals need this W
How can anyone tell what a second weekend hold would be at this point.
The Bride movie looks pretty bad.
If they are right this would be great for Hoppers! Hopefully the EA can further drive the good WOM up, it seemed to work with GOAT a few weeks back.
Netflix should send *Peaky Blinders* wide, even if only for two weeks. Both as a fuck you to those who didn’t believe in their WB bid, and also because the franchise can make a lot of money in theaters if handled right.
I’m praying this comes true.
*The Bride!* is going to end up exactly like *Mickey 17*.
By order of the Peaky fooking Blinders
Animated movies regularly opened well during March in the past two decades like the first two Ice Age films, How to Train Your Dragon, Monsters vs Aliens, Horton Hears A Who, Robots, and Zootopia.
Hoppers with that March date kinda takes me back to those times when CGI animated movies were that prime release month.
The bride doesn’t look good.. what is going on with 2026?? The start has been so terrible lol
Would $40 mil be the largest opening for an original / non-IP animated film since COVID?
40M+ would be phenomenal for an original animated film…. and it would be the biggest for an original Animation since Coco back in 2017! INSANE.
But even 35M+ would be a strong improvement from other recent original animated films btw.
Let‘s hope WOM is strong.
I recently saw the Bride trailer…, it looks bad.

I think Hoppers can do well, especially since it’s very funny and emotional acceding to early reactions, but 40m??? get real.
Predictions for Hoppers rose from 20-30M to 40M+ and can rise still.
I predicted a 50M+ opening and I’m sticking with it.
Well, I mean, The Bride! looks like absolute dogshit, so this is not surprising.
The power of Lizard.
Lizard.
Lizard.
Lizard.
Lizard.

Early accesss screenings start tomorrow, and if people come out of those raving that it’s as good as people have been talked about, it’s definitely driving up the OW
Very happy for Pixar hopefully getting a much meeded win with their original films. Not too surprised about The Bride struggling. It seems like a big swing but completely unappealing for casual audiences.
Based on who posted it, expect it to be 15-25% lower.
Can we go back to not posting EC?
***The Bride!*** looks like *Joker: Folie à Deux* 2.0
Share the same cinematographer and composer too.
