The movie will open well and will open frontloaded, but I suspect the bad WOM around it will impact its box office potential and it wont have great legs.

It having this phenomenal debut is really upsetting considering the bad reception, which could hurt its potential.
While having a less troubled production should help, my hope is that for 8, if they actually work hard to make a good movie that has course-corrections from people’s criticisms with this one, it can still start as well as 7 is going to.
