    the only way this is stopped is if everyone and their mother goes against it both in the industry and among people who are willing to bully their reps to take a stand. and the thing is, the industry won’t say anything of note, they would’ve by now

    it will be very interesting to see if people like nolan speak up since this means losing at least one studio (if we’re being optimistic) and countless jobs. if they were against netflix, I’m sorry but they have to be against this as well – how do you as a cretive support a company that has a blacklist

  3. Ted Sarandos had a meeting at the White House today, obviously he was told something that made Netflix decide not to match. My guess? That the DOJ would sue and do everything in its power to block the merger. So they backed off.
