Avatar 3 has officially passed *Barbie* (2023) to be the 6th highest grossing film post-pandemic. And also passed *Frozen II* (2019) to be the 16th highest grossing film of all time.

+$16M from last Sunday ($1.048B) – if it keeps dropping steadily as it has been it should still be able to just make it to $1.5B imo

Avatar can’t even do numbers internationally at this point. Wonder where it went wrong. Hope Disney and Cameron do the right thing and don’t try to make 4 and 5. The idea of an avatar film not making even a billion is tragic.
Decent push but it could’ve been higher. Needed more Varang.

Read that it’s guaranteed to make at least 400 million in the US. So it’d have to make 36 million internationally, minus how far past 400 it gets in the US, to reach 1.5 billion total. Is that really impossible?

Should finish around $1.5B WW even if it fells short, was alright although not as impressive as the first two Avatar films had

Welp I called sub 100 OW sub 1.5b total. I’m calling it a win. Next prediction Doomsday goes over 1.8b if reviews are good. If it gets reviews on par with the rest of this phase movies it will struggle to do 1.5b.

Not trying to sound like a bozo but deadass considering how much these things cost and how much of its BO comes from overseas markets that keep a large share did this thing barely make a profit? Like WOW despite making $2.3B “only” netted about $500m in profit.

I feel like this is not going to hit $1.5B.

1.5B+ still possible!
It needs another 35M in order to beat Top Gun Maverick (1.495B) and to enter the TOP 15 highest grossing films of all time ranking.
