- Entered production back in 2023
- Was dropped by Sony in December 2024 after the Blake Lively vs Baldoni lawsuits
- Was delayed 3x by Warner Bros, with no official marketing for it whatsoever
It was initially scheduled for October 10, 2025 where it wouldn't face much competition since it is R-rated and won't have the same audience as Tron. After all of this, I can't imagine the movie doing well. Either it is due to the Lively vs Baldoni lawsuits or the movie isn't good, but I just can't see this movie not being a major financial loss for WB since there is little to no public awareness of it at all. Plus an R-rated CGI talking animal comedy with big celebrity names including a TikTok star (Addison Rae) is likely a tough sell since people are getting tired of the genre, given how Strays flopped.
It would probably cost less for them to declare it a write-off, and sadly I could easily see that happening. The only source confirming its current June 5, 2026 release date is a Deadline article about another movie: https://deadline.com/2025/10/nick-jonas-paul-rudd-power-ballad-date-1236600872/ …and it's not mentioned anywhere else
For a movie to be delayed this long without explanation, I find this situation very odd.

I see a world where they just dump it on HBO Max at the last minute, given it’s expected to be a massive bomb
