This is the only theatre in the entire territory, another victim of the pandemic. Can anybody let Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino know, or maybe James Cameron or Denis Villeneuve and Shawn Levy since they are Canadian.
A buddy of mine lives here and says Wuthering Heights will be the last movie he will see but it does close on March 31st. Such a bummer to see theatres die in remote territories.

Hmm the article says its 1 of 2 in the region but the only one in yellow knife so where’s the other
Can’t the local government subsidize it as a community institution? I would say keeping it open would be beneficial to the populace.
I see there are about 45k people who live in the Northwest Territories. If there isn’t enough population to serve as a market for a physical theater, then maybe it just needs to shut down?
