The Live Action Remakes are obviously a good idea – the tech is pretty much there and they mostly all make a ton of money
Couple of misfires are fine on balance

Even if they did loose that much. I could probably argue that it might have been worth it.
The original snowwhite is going public domain in just a few years. Now they’ve locked that design and that take on the story for another couple of decades. That in itself is probably worth a lot to Disney.
