The Strangers Chapter 3 releases February 6th, the final in slasher trilogy that has gotten nothing but terrible reviews from critics and audience alike. The third chapter has an estimated budget of $8.5M.
The first film released May 17th 2024 and opened to $11.8M domestically and finished its run at $35.2M despite bad reviews with a worldwide total at $48.16M with a budget at $8.5M
The second film released September 26th 2025 and opened to $5.9M domestically and finished its run at $15.15M domestically despite again, bad reviews. Worldwide gross finalized at $21.92M with a budget of $8.5M
I just found out the trailer released for this 3 weeks ago and I widens doubt it if much of the general audience didn’t even know it existed. Practically no marketing with a release Super Bowl weekend and an already stacked month with two other slashers though they’re at the end of the month.
It seems both critics and the general audience are done with this film, so even these numbers seem a little optimistic.
My Estimates:
-DOM OW: $2M-$3.25M
-DOM Total: $5M-$8.5M
-WW Total: $9M-$16M
Ever since the first in the trilogy I had a sliver of hope they’d be good. Spoiler, they still haven’t delivered.

I don’t think these films are any good, but they hold a soft spot in my heart for some reason that I can’t explain. The first chapter was better as an inoffensive date movie with dumb horror characters, and the second one wasn’t the best, but I enjoyed some aspects of the extended chase sequence.
It would be hilarious if this was a consensus great movie though. I will be there on the first night of release, weather permitting.
Somewhere around 1 Blackhat
