Apart from the OW and DOM box office of Rise of the Beasts, each entry in the Transformers franchise progressively ended with lower totals than the last. WW totals are consistently lower for each entry.
I know there are rumors of Michael Bay supposedly in talks to return but who knows whether that will actually materialize, and Hasbro has ended its deal with Paramount due to low sales. As it currently stands, the Transformers franchise is dead.
This is why Fast 11 may never get made – since Fast X made less than F9 coupled with its costly budget. Even if a sequel makes its budget back and breaks even if it earns less than its predecessor, sequels in non-bulletproof franchises are still at risk. Producers need to feel there is a proportionate ROI.

Transformers died when they decided to let Bay make The Last Knight.
That has to be one of the clearest examples of a movie done by someone who’s cared so little at that point and only stuck around for the paycheck.
It did irreparable damage to the franchise which in turn doomed Bumblebee which was an actually great movie.
Even with Bay back and actually giving a shit(debatable). Who knows if the franchise can reverse its decline at this point.
No shia
The original Transformer trilogy was so fun to watch. No plot, but amazing CGI for the time and great action scenes to see in a theater.
Having a completely pointless underage romance will do that to a franchise
