Goat feels like another TMNT Mutant Mayhem situation where the animated film does well domestically but overseas doesn’t do well due to its animation style like Spider-Verse not appealing to overseas audiences despite basketball popular in several countries though it also faces animated original IP struggling to recover after the pandemic especially with streaming services impact on Sony Pictures films including animation that fans would perfer

I’m really concern to see how well can Goat can do when it comes out in February which might have an estimated $75M budget or higher which would need $187.5M WW to break even, though what I’m concerned about is how well can it do well domestically but also the overseas performance that doesn’t do hugely as the domestic performance does which depends on their interest of their original IP and the impact of streaming and how popular is basketball in each countries
