Sample Reviews:

Alonso Duralde, The Film Verdict – Purports to be a cautionary tale about putting legal justice into the hands of AI, but the movie’s real agenda is promoting the surveillance state as a way of fighting crime.

Nick Schager, The Daily Beast – Designed in every way to make one bleary eyed, it’s the new year’s dreariest, and goofiest, film.

Eli Friedberg, Slant Magazine 2.5/4 – More than anything, this twisty dystopian thriller commits to the jittery anxiety of doomscrolling.

I have a feeling that this will get similar reviews and domestic box-office to that Mark Wahlberg film, Flight Risk that Mel Gibson directed last year.

EDIT: Doubt there will be a review thread but I just checked the Return to Silent Hill RT score and oh man, it’s extremely bad with a 0% score with 6 reviews.

for those who don’t know, this is another screenlife masterpiece directed by timur bekmambetov, the producer of all the other screenlife movies we’ve gotten in the last decade, which of course includes

I can’t believe the metacritic score is that high. It’s about a dude sitting in a chair

  4. Expecting a disaster. Not *War of the Worlds* levels of bad, but bad. Nothing about this looks like a film real people decided to finance, write, direct, and star in. Nothing at all.

    Hope Rebecca was paid well…

This was our monthly early surprise screening at cineplex, it felt like a low budget rip off of minority report, I didn’t like it and don’t expect reviews to be good.

  6. I was surprised I saw popcorn buckets for this…I think Minority Report already did this much better.

‘Box office has no mercy for Chris Pratt’s new thriller’

    Here’s your headline @Deadline @Variety

  8. Saw this on Monday and it’s like Minority Report and Searching had a brain-damaged baby

  9. Timur made two of my favorite movies in Night Watch and Day Watch and one of my big guilty pleasures in Wanted.

Sorry to see he’s lost the juice this badly
