Perhaps you did. But you still called them outdated, undercut them whenever possible, whined about their *very reasonable* window requests ***AND*** did so while vehemently defending a model even you two knew was eventually doomed into collapse, Ted/Greg.
***Actions have consequences.*** Combined with the fact that you lead the market by *far?* This is why theaters want your new policies for Warner Bros. in writing before working with you guys.
Once again: One of your own films exclusively in theaters under the new policy *this year*, either by yourselves or with Warners, would go a long way towards building trust with your new partners.

My controversial opinion is that I’m open to the argument that a Paramount acquisition of Warner Bros would be worse on the merits purely for the health of the industry… but everyone around here is more interested in discussing the political implications of such a move (which, to be clear, would be bad), which sort of colors how they discuss the topic more broadly. Effectively, it means we don’t talk enough about how _bad_ a Netflix monopoly would really be.
One of those ways that an echo chamber can become annoying.
