Obviously, lol. The Batman 2 is WB’s most anticipated film and the only DC movie with a good chance of making $1B in the coming years.

Did anyone really think they’d interfere with it? Especially with a film that, at best, will make $750M.

  2. He said to not expect an update until after the script is ready, which is very different than until after The Batman Part II releases

  3. Theory: I’m starting to think strongly that TBATB will arrive after the conclusion of Reeves’ trilogy, assuming that Batman is in other projects not dedicated to him anyway.

DC already has its own successful Batman, there’s no point in creating internal competition and putting the DCU in difficulty, given the already evident cultural weight of The Batman.

  4. Hint: It’s not happening this decade. And it shouldn’t. Let Reeves cook, even though it’s taking way too long, I don’t want his Batman involved with the DCU at all. If Batman 2 is a hit, it does not make sense to have two going at once when everyone is anticipating Battinson.

They better not. Reeves Batman is still one of the better things to come out of DCU in a while. Gunn should stay in his lane and make his goofy editions on his own.

Unpopular opinion, but I was disappointed in the new Superman. Especially, as I heard it would be based off All Star Superman, yet lacked the substance.

  6. More and more, BATB has more excuses for why it isn’t happening yet. With Warner on the block, that might become a *permanent* “not happening.” Why would Netflix? or Paramount Skydance not want Pattinson and Corenswet to meet?

I honestly don’t think TBATB is even that “real” of a movie yet. They just needed something Batman-related in the initial slate to show shareholders and threw that out there.

When you look at their other moves (like shelving Teen Titans too), it really feels like they’re still keeping their options open to see if there’s any chance they can get Pattinson.

  8. I know zsacksnyderisbad or whatever, but I wish Ben Affleck made his Batman movie before the takeover
