Is 1.6B still on the table?
Edit: why am i being downvoted for asking a question😭
So it seems 1.45-1.5 billion is likely gonna be the finish. Definitly underwelming number for this franchise… not a disaster but shows the diminishing value.
Avatar 4 needs to take a longer time to release to create more urgency from audience.
Obviously not a great number, but if it makes it to 1.5 billion ill find a way to be ok for it.
Do find it funny that this pretty much means that A4 pre-release discourse will be somewhat similar to that of A2’s; all up to Cameron to prove everyone wrong.
Fells 1.5b isn’t much realistic end ,more likely second half of 1.4b
Wild how Cameron’s lowest grossing and *arguably* worst film in 29 years is still going to earn around $1.5 billion.
Surpassed Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s 1.308 billion cume to become the 24th highest grossing film in history.

$81M worldwide week. -46% drop.
OS also holding better than Domestic.
A switch up happened in terms of Disney’s biggest film of the year, but both are doing big business.
Good.

First time two blockbusters back to back from the same studio (Disney) grossed 1B+ internationally each!
Expecting this to finish 16th on the all-time list in between Frozen II $1.453B and Top Gun: Maverick $1.495B.
a4 and a5 not worth the financial risk unless James willing to cut the budgets
Omg. Won’t even make $1.5B. Still a success, but a big disappointment
Never bet against James Cameron 🤡.
While it’s a little disappointing for the franchise it’s hard to take the claims of this putting Avatar 4 in doubt when Reddit acted like Superman was a huge hit making 615M on a 225M budget.
Ultimately Fire and Ash just didn’t bring much new to table. The Way of Water felt different enough from the first but this one really didn’t take advantage of the fire element. Should’ve had a volcano eruption sequence and cool firefly creatures or something
Deserved. Cameron thinks he can make the same movie every time. Maybe now he’ll put some effort into an original story.
