Who is going to pay $15/person to go see a movie that’s been streaming for a decade?

Like, it’s a fun kids movie, but it’s not iconic like Toy Story or other classic Disney/Pixar movies.

Surely not a great sign for Madagascar 4…, people don‘t seem to feel nostalgic about this franchise. It may be another Kung Fu Panda 4.

I mean… kinda makes sense. The original is not a great movie. It’s pretty bland and unremarkable.

Way below Soul re-release of $121K which the audiences wasn’t interested for the re-release of Madagascar that should have came out in the summer of 2025 but January of 2026 isn’t a good idea due to a dump month

They cancelled the screening I was going to because of technical issues, so I was stuck reading Yuru Camp until the other movie I planned to see was going to play.

  6. Not surprising. People enjoy Madagascar but it’s never been considered a masterpiece. Plus it’s not really a spectacle type of movie, so people wouldn’t rush to see it on the big screen when it’s available at home. Dreamworks would probably find better success re-releasing How to Train Your Dragon or The Prince of Egypt.

  7. My parents in their dead cat bounce of their relationship decided to spend time together by going to go see dinner and a movie together regularly. It was going pretty well. Eventually, with my father not know what they were seeing, they went to go catch Madagascar. He was *livid* they went to an animated movie, especially that one.

They divorced like a year later.

    Happy 20 years!

Today there was 15 in my showing. That is a bad number yesterday though. But did I expect more, when they didn’t even push this?

I’m so glad I went at least because Madagascar has always been one of my favorites. And I enjoyed every second of it
