In Disney’s Cinderella (1950) there is a silhouette picture of Cinderella’s parents near her bedside in her tower bedroom. These were most popular in Europe, where the movie was set, between the late 18th and early 19th century, before the invention of photography.

I love Cinderella. It’s one of my first memories of watching an animated Disney movie. There’s a resort in Disney World, called Riviera and they have those silhouette pictures along with other Disney pics, hanging in the hallways. So beautiful!!
