After she signs the document to say everything was done properly he field strips the gun in front of her. The gun is a Glock, which can only be field stripped by pulling the trigger. Which would instantly fire the gun if a round was chambered. And since we see the complete disassembly without him racking and removing a round after removing the magazine we know for certain it was not chambered.

I was going to say the whole movie is ruined. But can’t tell whether it’s a plot hole or a character decision/negligence.
First time I watched this movie was with some friends. As we started talking about the ending and the morality of it all the conversation shifted to being about if Alejandro would have killed Kate there. One of the guys who knows guns noticed there couldn’t have been one in the chamber.
We rewatched the ended because none of the rest of us caught it. It perfectly fits how the character would intimidate to get things done and was cocky enough to show this to Kate once he got what he wanted.
