I knew the gesture was referencing Dr. Strange seeing all of the timelines and trying to make sure everything happens perfectly but it makes perfect sense because Tony attacking while the power stone is still in Thanos left hand is probably one of the failure timelines.

    1. No. He’s signaling that is the only chance they have to defeat Thanos, the one universe in 14MM.

    2. Another movie detail in Avengers Endgame (2019) is that at the end, Tony Stark says “I am Iron Man.” This is a subtle reference to the fact that he’s iron man and he’s about to snap and it mirrors when thanos said, “I am Inevitable.”

    3. He holds the finger up for five seconds, then Tony waits about ten seconds longer. So…not one. Fifteen.

    4. I know what you’re saying, but it really isn’t that. The one is a reference to when Tony asked him, “That one in fourteen million. Is that us?” and Doctor Strange replies, “If I tell you what happens, it won’t happen.” Then, when there’s no chance left for fate to diverge from its course, he gives Tony the signal with the upraised finger that yes, this choice is that one in fourteen million opportunity, and you need to make it right now.
