I don’t like choosing a lower denomination(?) In order to use a bigger number for wow-factor (read: impress simple folk or dupe out of touch board members?)

I painfully await viewing-seconds becoming the norm.

E: Is this truly a controversial opinion? Can someone explain why it’s better to have billions of viewing minutes instead of just total watches?

Or do people not like that they’re simple folk impressed by big number 🙂

    2. Makes me sad.

Shit was like morning cartoon level, with callbacks to old stuff that was good.

    3. It was a good streaming comedy movie imo. Wouldn’t go to the theater for it though.

I mean it was a great Adam Sandler couch movie. Everyone loves a good comfort movie. I’ll watch anything with Adam Sandler he’s a national treasure

I actually think it was pretty brilliant considering I expected it to be awful, and I wasn’t big on the original.

Holy shit. Now I guess Netflix doesn’t care they spent way too fucking much on this movie

    7. Its because people miss the stupid comedies. I didn’t think it was amazing, but i had so much fun watching it.

I miss stuff like blades of glory, mr. deeds, yes man, step brothers, zoolander, etc.

I’m tired of getting my comedy from Marvel.

Adam Sandler going down as the highest “grossing” comedy star was something I did not have in my bingo card 15 years ago

Saw it once, no interest in watching it again. But I can still watch the original over and over.

    10. It always makes me chuckle how so many people who comment on r/movies make sure to preface their comments so that A24 stans and aspiring cinephiles everywhere don’t think they actually like stuff that normal people like.

    11. I thought it was fun. I fully expected it to be dog shit, so wasn’t disappointed when it was barely better than that.

    12. He’s filling a void missing from studio movies in theaters at the moment. And while it broke a streaming record for minutes, what kind of boxoffice numbers would it have done if released theatrically?
