No one should be surprised that these rich people are into equestrianism. It takes a lot of money to raise a horse, train it, house it, and feed and water it. Also to buy all the equipment for the sport and keep it maintained ain’t cheap either.

  3. Leave horses alone, we can bond with them without climbing on their backs and forcing them to perform.

The celebrity horse girl paradox: you might think they appear more relateable and down to earth and end up appearing even more elitist because horses are expensive af

  5. Ugh, I wanted to be a horse girl so bad when I was little. I dated a guy I didn’t really like for wayyyyy too long just because his family had horses. If I ever win the lottery…

As a poor horse girl myself who cleaned stalls, tack and groomed horses. Being a “working student” then riding other people’s horses.
I was eventually given several horses for free in my lifetime.

Some of these comments are straight up uninformed hate. Where there is a will there is a way.

Showing is extremely expensive, but lots of people are sponsored.
You can just be a horse owner/rider without showing and spending $$&.

  7. I took lessons in high school, but knew a girl that had her own horse. Sigh. Her parents worked at NASA. Sigh.
