    1. This is actually really wild. I wonder who the woman is? She has to have some form of relevance to someone for them to have bothered hiding her here.

    2. Wow thats amazing. I dont see the woman though, i see a coat but no head

      Edit: some spelling

    3. Just to mention I saw the woman first and only noticed the ant when I took a closer look at the screen.

    4. I used to work for a guy who worked for Dreamworks as a 3D animator back in the day, he worked on a bunch of movies but I know for sure he worked on Shrek 1 & 2 and Bee Movie.

He mentioned all the animators would try to slip stuff in but that it would have to be subtle enough not to get caught by producers, screeners, etc.

He mentioned writing his name in flowers on the ground when donkey was running from the soldiers but it got noticed and they cropped the view in the scene to cut it out. When I asked about ones that made it through, he mentioned a coworker got a photo of her daughter in a glass reflection. I think he mentioned it was on a chandelier or something in the pre wedding montage. Now I’m wondering if I’m misremembering the conversation or if he misremembered where the Easter egg was and this is that coworkers daughter.

Just like the castle courtyard window in Ocarina of Time on the N64 having Mario characters in it lol

It look me a long time to see the woman’s face, I just saw a coat hanging on the wall and it gave me headless horseman vibes

As obsessed as people are with Shrek, it’s crazy if you’re the first to notice.

I wonder if the other animator was thinking “I swear to god if Geoff gets my lady caught because of that fucking ant I’m gonna kill him.”

That woman is actually quite famous in some circles. So, back in 1993 Amy Natalie Horton’s father owned a farm out in Kentucky. He grew corn and some other such. Anyway, Amy started to work the farm to earn money whilst she was back home from College for the Summer. One day Amy dug into some unturned earth and hit a pipe, bursting it in the process. The strange thing about it was what came out of the pipe had an almost turquoise hue to it. By this point it had soaked into the ground and a lot of the surrounding area before the pressure died off and it stopped leaking. Baffled, Amy’s father called out an inspector to check the quality of the soil and ensure there was no contaminates.

Whilst no contaminates could be found, nor could a source of the liquid be determined, Amy’s dad was still really concerned as to what could of happened. That was when after constant inspection of his corn, he noticed it was starting to take on a blue-hue.

Moving forward a little to 1995 Amy had managed to secure herself a fantastic little job as a lead animator on a small movie that was untitled. Remembering the incident with her Father and the turquoise crop, Amy went on to give said movie the working title of ‘Blue Harvest’ before it officially being named ‘Shrek’. ‘Blue Harvest’ was ofcourse also the working title for ‘Star Wars’.

The inclusion of Z is so random lmao. The woman I feel like could be anyone, maybe the directors wife or something or an Easter egg from a movie that was in the works that didn’t get made. But why put Z in there?!

Knowing how there were a lot of gimmicks done in 3D animation to save on rendering costs, using a 2D image that to the viewer would look like a 3D object in a scene like this is probably why the used the picture of the woman for. To the average viewer, it just looks like a bunch of coats on the wall.

    12. Wow it’s actually insane how much lower the graphical fidelity of this is compared to what I remember. Modern games *easily* beat this with realtime rendering; this pretty much looks like a 2014 game. Really cool how tech has progressed in two decades.

    13. My dad worked on the final fantasy movie from the 90s, he told me he hid pics in the explosion debris near the end that, to his knowledge, no one has found.

    14. Damn, I wanted to see if it was the same in the powerwash simulator level but there’s not even windows in the entrance

    15. This reminds me of Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time when you look into the castle from the garden you first meet Zelda in, you can see pictures of Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Peach!
