Jones’s character was fun – audience reactions at the theaters were great
The remains of the train wreck scene are still up and able to be visited in Dillsboro, NC. Also just a cool town close to GSMNP.

Obligatory Tommy Lee Jones was great in this, but he should not have beaten Ralph Fiennes’ performance in Schindler’s List for the Oscar that year.

What a great movie with top notch performances. I see it a couple of times every year.
Watch this movie at least once a year. Something about it is really watchable and hypnotic. The director Andrew Davis made a similar movie with Gene Hackman and Tommy Lee Jones before this called The Package.
