May 6, 2026Kitty O’Neil jumping a woman’s record 187 feet from the Valley Hilton hotel in Sherman Oaks, California, for the 1979 episode of Wonder Woman “The Phantom Roller Coaster.” O’Neil, who is deaf, broke the record a year later falling 180 feet into an airbag from a helicopter. The record still stands.
May 5, 2026Paul McCrane played the character (Emil Antonowsky) in the “RoboCop” (1987). The makeup was designed by Rob Bottin, who used foam-latex prosthetics to make the skin look like it was “sloughing off”. Incredible practical effects.
