    1. I mean it’s a good movie but you don’t see the cast of clueless or heathers pining for it’s relevancy decades after release it just is what it is

      I dunno, the number of speeches I listened to in school where people I internally categorised as “the popular ones” referenced other people as being popular really makes films like Mean Girls seem… implausible. They all rely on *everyone* knowing a particular social hierarchy and, if not hierarchy, network.

      I guess it’s because all high school movies are set in schools with <200 pupils, which is like a tenth of how many we had.
