      This movie SUCKED

      Edit: I’ve watched this comment fluctuate between 1 and -1 since I’ve posted it yesterday. Seems like people are split down the middle on how they feel about it. Honestly, I probably just don’t like it because I hated giving a backstory to Michael Meyers. I’ve always thought he was better as a mysterious kid that just went psycho. I didn’t need Rob Zombie to delve deeper.

      This movie came out at the EXACT right time for me. I was a pissed off little 13 year old who loved the original Halloween but also loved the idea of a gritty over the top remake. Now, as a more media-literate adult I can see it for the movie it unfortunately is. I still have a soft spot for it, though.

      Not the second one, though.

      You know what was the singular good thing in this movie? The physicality of the Michael performer. Absolutely fantastic body work. Really knocked it out of the park.

      The film is nothing special, although it has some elements that I find offensive, but what is most offensive is Rob Zombie’s direction, hahahahaha!
