In Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Ghidorah picking up Godzilla and dropping him from a great height is inspired by the hunting behaviour of Golden Eagles, who will pick up goats and drop them off the side of mountains.

god that shot is so beautiful
Kinda reminds me of when my ex would lift me up just to tear me down.
Cool CGI. I can almost see what’s going on.
When Godzilla hit the ground, you would expect a scene similar to that of an asteroid hitting the Earth. Barely anything happens.
I wouldn’t want to encounter that kind of eagle.

One of my favorite Godzilla movies, the sequels don’t even come close in terms of action or cinematography.
