There’s a bunch of scenes like this. A lot of the townsfolk throughout the movie end up being the naked ones in the treehouse.
That movie was soooooo good dude. I was sooooo close to turning it off because it was so depressing at first, like wow this movie isn’t very horror-ish … just depressing and now I want to go jump off the bridge. But I powered through, and now it’s an all time favorite.
The movie had a bunch of scenes where you needed to look closely but if you spotted it, it was even scarier.
I remember the one scene that really got me was when the son was looking around in the living room and mother was just up on the ceiling in the corner, and I’ve shit my pants when I spotted here because the movie gave no cues that she was up there

Those trees are birch trees, and the bark has patterns that look like eyes, suggesting being watched from everywhere.
Took me at least two watches to notice the people in this scene
Similar to the scene where the family come home, but if you listen there’s footsteps upstairs scurrying away.
