I’m glad but also how many people are going to jail over this, I swear this is like the 5th person so far?

Meanwhile the the 4 officers/EMT’s who purposely overdosed Elijah McClain on Ketamine collectively served like 14 months and mostly got probation.

“that there is no one they blame for his death more than Iwamasa”. I can think of one other person. An employee should not be responsible for keeping their employer sober.

it’s so bizarre how much they care about this because it’s a famous white person, I’ve never seen so many third parties get arrested for an overdose like this.
people die from overdoses every day and pretty much no goes punished and people will blame bad choices or parenting, but as soon as it’s some sitcom actor from the 90’s, it’s everyone else’s fault but the addict.

Is it just me or are too many people getting blamed for his death? Ultimately it was his decision to buy and take ketamine.

do people still think Perry wasn’t eventually going to OD anyways? its not like he was making an effort to get clean or even just limit usage

This is kind of wild the blame game they’re trying to play here. Clearly Perry had a drug problem and went far out of his way to OD. I don’t see why he has to be framed as a victim.

This is insane. Matthew Perry killed Matthew Perry, no one else

Would Matthew Perry have wanted this for his assistant? I don’t know.

Perry is a fucking scumbag for dragging these people down with him. He was an addict. He was going to get that shit one way or another and we would’ve reached the same outcome.

How many years in prison is Matthew Perry going to get for the central role he played in Matthew Perry’s death?

So you want to make it in Hollywood, but you end up the assistant to a genuinely talented but deeply troubled has been. His addiction grows and part of your shitty job is helping to feed it. You never do get to succeed in Hollywood, your addict boss finally dies, but wait… there’s more! Now you, the nobody, get to also go to jail for years.

This is ludicrous. Addiction that resulted in death is sad yes but also a tragic consequence of choices made by that person. Why are they going so hard to put blame on someone for this.

Ruining the lives of this many people just because the public convinced themselves Matthew Perry really was Chandler and they missed their friend.

Employee gets prison sentence for wanting to keep their job and did what was asked of them by their wealthy, powerful employer.

People are still learning about positional power I guess. Bro did it no one himself included is denying that, but did it after being told by someone with authority over him. If you flip the roles maybe there’s something to look at but could he really say no and face no consequences?
