That’s actually extremely on brand for Navy SEALs and other outfits.
Oh wow, never realized this was filmed while Joanne Whalley was still married to Val Kilmer (they fell in love on the set of “Willow”).
The 80s were all about loose cannon military dudes saving the day. Top Gun, Rambo, Commando, etc. They often never looked down the sight of the gun and just shot from the hip too haha.
I am not hearing any downsides
