What an incredibly shot movie.
“I’m going after that truck.”
“HOW?”
“I don’t know… I’m making this up as a I go along.”
Indy had JUST escaped from the tomb of the arc like minutes before this chase, boxed a guard, blew up a plane…and then this…
Rewatching this in the movie theater a few months ago was mind-blowing. First off, it looks incredible. The film texture, the cinematography, the lighting, incredible. Its so refreshing to see something on the big screen that doesnt look like a Car insurance commercial.
But what really struck me beyond that was just how tight this movie is. The script, the dialogue, the pacing, the action, everything has a purpose and place and the movie manages to keep your attention pretty much the entire run-time. Its an amazing piece of cinema, if you ever get the chance to see it on the big screen, go.
Back when kicking Nazi ass was so vogue. Let’s make it happen again.
I’d like to see Indy commandeer an ICE/Proud Boys truck.
Fantastic stunt work. Props to the stunt performers.
Remember everyone, killing Nazis is A-OK.
