Anyone who watched the Netflix doc knew she would be the first to leave the group.
There’s a lot of internet discourse about this but the fact is this is better for all parties involved.
The 5 girls in Katseye want to be in Katseye. Manon gets to have her own individual path and career.
Honestly I just want an official announcement. Maybe I could go back to enjoying the group if they did.
I don’t know why they’re dragging this out so long and whether it’s a contractual issue or whatever they are doing, but clearly they have the tour on sale with five members and she didn’t perform a Coachella and the hiatus thing was months ago and there have been no official updates.
This seems as close to confirmation as it gets at this point, but like just let them have their own paths. It’s clear she’s not going on tour with them. They’re not going to redo all the tour materials and have her just say yeah I’m back. Let her just do her thing.
i have no horse in this race, but as a black girl myself i genuinely don’t think manon was treated unfairly because of her race. tbh i dont think she was treated unfairly at all. she was prioritized over the other girls, and the other members complained about it a lot and nothing really changed. there’s videos of them rehearsing and she’s just not there, and when she was there she was clearly leaps and bounds behind the rest of the group.

and in this clip, she’s clearly messing up despite all the other members knowing the choreography.
Honestly hope Manon doesnt return for her own benefit. The amount of racism and vitrol she has faced from “fans” during her time in the group aint worth it. Doesnt help when some of the members parents are being lil assholes towards her. Or the gossip of Megan/Lara spikling her tea to podcasters.
Hope she finds success in whatever she fi ds next.
