      This entire film is clearly oscar bait, you can’t convince me othwerwise.

      Fascinated to see how Athena is handled by Nolan. And I hope Ogygia (Calypso’s island) is more than just sand. It’s one of the explicitly vibrant places in the epic and while I’m not as concerned by color elsewhere in the epic , I know some people are concerned a lot about the vibrancy and beauty of the Greek world being excluded.

      Gonna step away from the casting toxicity and say that yeah, the flat colors and weak costumes really do make this movie look like a cosplay so far. There also seems to be almost no makeup going on, so everyone just looks like themselves.

      The comments here remind me when Heath Ledger was cast in The Dark Knight.

      Let’s wait for the movie to come out before we pass judgement. It might suck, but we might still get surprised.

      Jesus, Zendaya has such a huge year ahead of her: Spider-Man Brand New Day, The Odyssey, and Dune pt. 3 all dropping within like 6 months?! For a lot of actors, a single one of those films would be more than enough to coast on for like 2-3 years.

      I love the idea of Zendaya as Athena, and Charlize is exactly who I would cast for someone like Calypso.
