Park Chan-Wook Western ‘Brigands Of Rattlecreek’, With Matthew McConaughey, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal & Tang Wei, Selling to Warner Bros Clockwork Out of Cannes Market
>The movie will follow a sheriff and a doctor who seek revenge against a group of bandits who use the cover of a torrential thunderstorm to rob and terrorize the occupants of a small town. The story will alight on themes central to Park’s oeuvre of vengeance, retribution, the consequences of violence and the power of memory and family, but this time in the American West.
The script was written by S. Craig Zahler (‘Bone Tomahawk’)

Exactly the kind of movie that WB opened the Clockwork division to make. Super excited for this one.

Heard the script is extremely brutal to the point where almost all the studios feared of tranishing their image. Wonder if Park made it even more brutal.

Either Butler gets more range as an actor or replace him with Paul Mescal.
