This late in a show fan outrage has effectively zero impact on ratings.
Honestly, this season has been so mixed. It’s like watching a different show altogether. I just hope they tie it all together nicely in the end
Vocal fandom is always a drop in the bucket.
I stopped watching weekly with three or four episodes left and figure I’ll just finish the season in one go once the finale is released. It just feels like we’re killing time while we wait for the final episode.
I will say the One-Shots anthology episode was one of the highlights of the season so far, especially the stuff with Firecracker, and I’ll enjoy anything featuring Daveed Diggs at least a little bit because that man is a gem.
Is it completed yet? Will binge watch when its fully released. And what backlash is for?
A lot of people do not have high standards for what they enjoy. More power to them, though. They seem a lot happier than me lol
Probably because this season is nowhere near as bad as the fanbase would have you believe. I always watch the episodes then come to the sub to see the discussions, and the exaggerations are completely insane.
I mean, people who hate this season are still watching it, they’re helping those numbers.
I’m actually enjoying this season more than I did 3 and 4, but glad that it’s wrapping up as the overall shtick was getting a bit old.
And they stilled canceled Gen v
No spoilers but I stopped watching after S3 because it looked like they were falling into the old habit of setting up the stakes and pulling the rug in favor of the status quo (can’t tell you how much I loathe that). Is it worth it to finish the series?
People are seeing it through. It’ll be interesting to see what legacy it has because the finale being unfocused isn’t just something a few fans are making up.
Because we are just trying to get it over with and move on lol. Not many people gonna watch 4.5 seasons of a show and just drop it on the last few episodes. They will likely just finish it, never recommend it to anyone and move onto another show

I mean im not finishing it with joy, im grinding through it like I did those last few episodes of GOT.
I will say I somehow think this might be the worst drop from start to finish of any show I’ve ever watched, I genuinely think it’s appalling this season.
It would be a decent enough season of the show if it wasn’t the final season but the show has been building up this big showdown for seasons and it’s felt like nothing has really happened.
Last episode did not feel like a 2nd to last episode of a series

And that’s not even counting those of us who took to the high seas
Still not sure if I’m gonna watch it. I don’t care about backlash, praise, etc. I really enjoyed the first two seasons. Season 3 was still alright, but Season 4 was way too much weird shit for my taste, everything just oversexualized and excessively violent and policitized to appeal to who knows what focus group, wish they had stuck to the basics.
The show certainly has its problems, but it sure seems to me that a lot of the backlash is from the MAGAs realizing that they’re the villains, not the heroes.
I think the think to watch for is Vought Rising’s numbers as that’s the one that seems to be getting negative backlash on the subs there from this season. Lots of people are saying this season ended up being so much setup for it they refuse to watch it
Now we’ll see if that carries over. Obviously a spinoff is probably going to draw fewer viewers, but I’m interested in seeing how many it retains
At this point even as someone who isn’t really enjoying the season but doesn’t outright hate it either I’m going to finish it because I’ve watched most of the show already. But if there were more seasons going forward I’d probably pass given the decline in quality the last 2 seasons

First 2 seasons are great. Show goes downhill from there. This last season had a lot of issues. I feel for the actress that plays Starlight, she was diagnosed with Graves disease irl and so her ability to speak/move just vanishes. I’m not saying she’s to blame, but from a show watcher perspective all of a sudden you have your lead actress become mute and basically do nothing for a whole season, very hard to watch. That’s a forgivable issue though. The writing is really where the show falls apart, it seems like they just didn’t know how to complete a character arc for anyone.
Game of Thrones season 8 also shattered HBO viewership records. That doesn’t mean season 5 is good as a lot of commenters seem to believe. If you are someone enjoying this season that’s fine too.
The number of “hidden comment” accounts talking about how:
– this season is *great*
– any dislike is a purely online-only phenomenon
– attempting to delegitimize those that have complained
– it’s “really not that bad”
VS those with open-comments expressing disappointment/dislike or pointing out the sunk-cost for many viewers, is crazy.

Lmao as if this is supposed to be a gotcha to people that don’t like it. The people who aren’t enjoying it have been fans since the start so they’re going to finish it through regardless. The ratings that will matter as affected by the quality of this season are the season ratings for Vought Rising
