This was the news I needed.
It’s kind of funny that out of nowhere, Hathaway just decided she was ready to make sequels or reboot all the stuff she’s done previously lol.
I love this movie. I hope they keep it light and fun.
The Annaissance continues apace.

I just watched this movie for the first time last night with my partner. Fun movie, weird timing to see this post the next day
The book was never in my demo growing up but I did watch the movie because of Anne Hathaway… some aspects seemed a bit rushed and a show could help with that, and even with the slight change in direction I’d hope this isn’t meant to be a multi-season show. It’s one book, it shouldn’t be more than 6-8ish episodes. Her constantly having to obey and finding ways around it would get exhausting very fast.
Ella Enchanted is exactly the kind of colorful, fun, family friendly adventure that we seem to have a dearth of at the moment. Cautiously optimistic.

I wonder if they will just remake the movie but longer or actually work closer to the book. The movie barely used book material, it was basically “in name only” relations.

I looked into the stages of Producing. Executive Producer means we need your support and publicity but you won’t contribute meaningful. It’s an ego credential. Producer means this person worked to make this happen. And Producer with P.G.A. after her name means she legit worked the project from beginning to end.
