Gen X here. Always telling Gen Z, this is how life was back in those days. What a time it was to be alive. What an amazing documentary ! I don’t think Joel Schumacher the director would have believed 40 years later, the lasting impact and legacy of this film and music. A lot of magic happened producing this movie and soundtrack!

I’ll never forget the first time I seen this movie. 🍿 I honestly watch it at least once as year, but more recently it’s at least twice.

Tried to watch it recently for the first time via steaming. The new 4K remaster, but the aspect ratio was clearly off. When they passed the billboard (“Murder Capital of the World”), the words were partly cut out of the frame in what was clearly *supposed* to be a legible shot. Had to turn it off, can’t stand incorrect aspect ratios. Looking forward to watching it one day though.

So for the time being my knowledge of this movie is limited to seeing that poor security guard get ambushed by floating/flying vampires, and the funky/nostalgic montage afterwards as the mother and kids arrive. On that basis: Good movie!
