The story follows a ventriloquist whose dummy begins to take control of his life and encourages him to commit violent acts.
The project is written by Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, reuniting with Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi from Send Help for 20th Century Studios.
Nice to see him helming something new so fast.

The original film was really good, one of the most underrated horror films of that decade. I’m skeptical of a remake but Sam Raimi has very little misses imo, so I’ll check this one out.
